Solving a problem with a creative HCD (human-centered design) solution.
The Problem
During the pandemic, many retail stores were forced to shut down or alter their retail models. Garden Fever, a well-respected neighborhood nursery and plant shop, has served its community for almost twenty years as a home for northeast Portland home and garden supplies. New Covid-19 shopping rules slowed the process of the indoor shopping experience to include limited customer shopping on their current website.
The Process
I began by analyzing user pain points and conducting targeted research to uncover patterns and opportunities. Using those insights, I identified key branding and UX improvements, which guided design iterations and high-fidelity prototypes. Each phase was grounded in user feedback, helping define clear metrics, takeaways, and next steps for a more intuitive and engaging user experience.
The Goal
Redesign the Garden Fever website and mobile app to deliver an interactive, brand-aligned experience that enhances usability and customer engagement.
